rocky mountain NP in november

I am debating doing a trip to rocky mountain NP in November for Thanksgiving. We have a travel trailer and would love to try and camp. Is this an insane idea? Anyone done this and have some tips?

We stayed in both Yogi Bear Jellystone ($80 / full service -- nothing special, lotta kids) outside the park and Glacier Basin inside (lovely, $15 no services.) with our 21-foot Lance travel trailer. We arrived via Denver and were thinking to leave via Granby, but we were advised that that's not a great trailer route, so we doubled back to Denver before heading to Utah. Glacier Basin was great and no hassle for trailer.
