The National Park Service and Yosemite have announced that they will resume working with a reservation system in 2024. These will be certain periods to regulate the number of visitors.

Entrance reservations in 2024
By 2024, reservations will be regularly required to enter Yosemite. This depends on the period you want to go to Yosemite and whether it is a weekend or not. In any case, in the summer you must have a reservation every day of the week.- January 1 through February 9: No reservations required to enter Yosemite.
- February 10 through February 25: Reservations are required 24 hours a day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, February 19 (Washington's Birthday).
- February 26 through April 12: No reservations required to enter Yosemite.
- April 13 to June 30: Reservations are required from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (May 27 and June 19).
- July 1 to August 16: Reservations are required daily from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- August 17 to October 27: Reservations are required from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (September 2 and October 14).
