🌄 Yosemite & Arches National Parks drop timed entry reservations for 2026

In 2026, reservation requirements are being removed at two of the most visited parks in the western United States. Yosemite National Park in California is ending timed-entry reservations and will manage crowding with real-time traffic measures. Arches National Park in Utah is also discontinuing timed entry, although access may still be temporarily restricted if the park reaches capacity. Both parks remain extremely popular, especially during the summer months.

Visitors will benefit from greater flexibility 🌿, but planning remains essential. Arrive early in the morning, avoid weekends, and consider traveling in spring or fall for a quieter experience. Keep in mind that certain hikes and activities in other parks may still require permits.
